:: Practical
info
When you are packing your suitcase do not
bring along CO2 cartridges. We have seen people who have not received
their luggage when arriving in Milan because of that.
It will be a good thing to bring along a
small piece of multitool on the tours together with an extra tube and
some extra patches. Also remember to bring along your
healthinsurrancecard. It is also a good idea to bring along 20€ if you
need to make a phonecall or you want to buy a souvenir.
All guest will be equipped with a small
laminated card showing the daily tours and phone number to the guides,
addresses to the hotels etc.
We expect that you and your bicycle is
well prepared for the tour. That means that the bike is equipped with
new tires, chain and cassettes. We recommend that you use Compact
chainrings or triple and that the cassette has a gearing not to be
higher than 12-27. Before the tour we expect that you within the last 6
months have driven at least 3000 miles.
Bring along small lights, (LED type) for
the tour. Not because we are driving at nights but just as a precausion
when we are driving through tunnels. Do not drive with patches on your
tubes when you start on the tours and try to avoid carbonrims where the
brakearea is of carbon.
You have to bring along cykel clothing to
all kinds of weather. We can expect weather conditions where the
temperature can be 35 plus degree Celsius but we have also on the same
tours been in the mountains where the temperature next day could be
around 0 degree Celsius.
Naturally we will bring you weatherinfo
every evening so you can be prepared for what to wear and what you need
to bring along in the servicecars.
In the servicecar we also have extra
wheelsets for both Campagnolo and Shimano. We also have extra tubes,
tires and some tools if that should be necessary. Tires and tubes will
be sold to very low prices.
From Milan (Malpensa), airport we have around 4 hours of
driving in a bus to Caprile
